JUST RELEASED! November 3, 1998
'Twas Halloween Day, and so not to lack, I wore all black, from my front to my back.
To Disneyland I did drive, hoping to enjoy Halloween treats. The parking was full and backed up into the streets.
As I crossed under the berm, stand on end did my hair, for there stood a 75-foot Christmas tree, in the midst of Town Square!
The children were dressed in their finest costumed togs, while Santa Claus Goofy set out the Yule logs...

The Disneyland management has now decreed that the Christmas season is to start on November 1st. Since the park was opened later on Saturday, facilities felt it better to dress the park Friday night instead.
Well, more stuff has been churned out by the merchandising elves:
A set of five "Hometown Holidays" limited edtion cloisonne pins have been issued. Mickey and Minnie are in an edition of 1000 each as Donald, Goofy, and Pluto are issued under an edition size of 500 each. Hurry now, for they are almost sold out!
With Sunday, the 1st of November, Disneyland unveiled the "it's a small world" Holiday promotion. The attraction has again, for the second year, been retrofitted to celebrate Christmas around the globe. To help celebrate, most food locations are serving food in "it's a small world" Holiday containers. The set includes popcorn containers and buckets, napkins, paper plates, pizza boxes, large and small soda cups, styrofoam hot drink cups, a carrying box, a drink tray/carry box, lining paper, hotdog bags, and cookie bags. These are similar to last years food containers, but do not have the year as they did in 1997.
Finally, this week also saw the introduction of a pair of bended pens. Mickey's, in black, wears a Santa hat while Minnie's is white with red candy stripes and a red bow.
Next week I plan to list the "it's a small world" bean bags that will be exclusive during the Christmas season to Disneyland with a special Disneyland/small world hang tag. The first 7 were introduced on the 1st and the other 11 were released a week later.
